Robin Hood Charity is a volunteer-driven, zero-funds organization dedicated to fighting hunger. We collect surplus food from restaurants, workplaces, and communities, and share it with people in need.
Our volunteers, proudly called “Robins,” are mostly students and young professionals who contribute their free time to this mission. Together, we serve vulnerable groups such as homeless families, orphanages, patients in public hospitals, and residents of old age homes.
Inspired by community food programs abroad, Robin Hood Charity began its journey on the streets of Delhi, India, in August 2022. What started as a small local effort has since grown into a global movement to fight hunger and waste.
So far, Robin Hood Charity has reached over 164 million people across 406 cities in 13 countries.
And this is just the beginning—we believe we’re only 1% done.
We follow one simple rule — Robin Hood Charity is a zero-funds organization.
We have no revenue, no paid employees, and no office space. All we ask from our volunteers is their time and energy to serve.
It’s simple — we grow by spreading smiles and stories.
Our journey is shared through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Over time, our passionate Robins (volunteers) and supportive members of the press have helped carry our mission to millions across the world.
All it takes is 3 hours a week on a regular basis.
You can:
Volunteer as a Robin in your city
Contribute surplus food from your home, workplace, or restaurant
You’ll find everything you need to get started on our platform.
Yes — just three:
